The State of the Occupation Report 2025 reviews the impacts of the war and other aspects of the occupation on the lives of Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, and within Israel.
2025 is drawing to a close, a new year is on the horizon. Alongside our relief at the return of the hostages, we are deeply concerned about the horrific reality facing the Palestinian residents of Gaza and the West Bank. On paper, the war is over; but the ongoing daily reality for Gaza’s residents is a humanitarian crisis: widespread hunger, lack of functional medical and sanitation services. Families have no homes to return to, and Israeli attacks are still going on. The scope of this disaster becomes clearer with each passing day—and it is vast and devastating.
