Building rights/coverage
The amount of land (usually expressed as percentage of the plot area) which can be built on, or covered, by the building, according to the provisions of the approved plan. For example, if the valid pan allows a building of 3 floors with coverage of 30 percent to be erected, this means that the building could cover 30 percent of the plot area, so that the total building area in all 3 floors would be 90 percent of the plot area.
